Gas work is the one repair where nothing gets rushed. Burner ports are cleaned, injectors checked against the gas type and every joint leak tested before the hob is handed back. If the flame failure device is worn we replace it rather than bypass it, because that device is what shuts the gas off when a flame blows out.
